BRADENTON, FL – Blake Medical Center is proud to announce that the Florida Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), an agency of the Department of Defense, announced today that Jody Nader, Nursing Director at Blake Medical Center, was honored with a Patriot Award in recognition of extraordinary support of employee(s) who serve in the Florida National Guard and Reserve.
US Air Force Reservist and Blake Medical Center Registered Nurse Staff Sergeant Christopher Dziuban nominated Nader. Dziuban noted Nader hired him for the nursing position at Blake and that from the very beginning of his employment she has fully supported his military service; he shared, “The support I have received allows me to reach my full potential as a soldier.”
Blake Medical Center CEO, Daniel Friedrich was proud but not surprised by Jody’s excellence and support of her staff and shared, “In order to provide exceptional care to patients, we employ exceptional people like Jody. Her extraordinary support for Staff Sgt. Dziuban represents what an incredible person she is and is reflective of the culture we want to exemplify here at Blake Medical Center.”
According to James Dicks ESGR Florida State Chair, “The Patriot Award was created by ESGR to publicly recognize individuals who provide outstanding patriotic support and cooperation to their employees, who like the citizen warriors before them, have answered their nation’s call to serve.”
