Dr. Raj Rajan Named 2011 Doctor of the Year

Blake Medical Center is proud to announce the recipient of the 2011 Doctor of the Year award as Raj T. Rajan, M.D.   Dr. Rajan has been an admired and respected member of the Blake Medical Center medical staff since 1998. Nominations were sent from patients, colleagues and hospital staff.  They described Rajan as the epitome of an ideal doctor - caring, committed to his patients, dedicated to caring for the whole family and involved in his community.

Born in Hyderabad, India, Dr. Rajan received his M.D. from Gandhi Medical College in India. He then came to the United States where he completed his Residency, Internship, and Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at Nassau County Medical Center in New York. He moved to Florida in 1994, practicing first in New Port Richey and then in 1998 he joined the Medical Staff at Blake Medical Center.
