National Breastfeeding Month hopes to empower women to make an educated choice to breastfeed by highlighting new research that babies who are exclusively breastfed for six months are less likely to develop ear infections, diarrhea and respiratory illnesses, and may be less likely to develop childhood obesity.

Breastfeeding requires support, time, and commitment. Read more about how to find balance with breastfeeding and returning to work, supporting yourself with diet, and the research behind making the choice to breastfeed.
