Cardiac Rehabilitation

The Cardiac Rehabilitation Program is a comprehensive program focusing on the post Myocardial Infarction (Heart Attack) patient and the post Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) patient. A Board Certified Cardiologist serving as Medical Director supervises our program.

Three Phases of Care

Phase I - In Hospital
Phase one cardiac rehabilitation is the recovery period after Open Heart Surgery while the patient is in the hospital. It includes educational counseling and range of motion activities, intermittent sitting and standing.

Phase II - Outpatient Exercise Therapy
The Phase II Cardiopulmonary Rehab program is a supervised outpatient exercise program generally covered for 36 visits. Our focus is the patient, who, within the previous 12 months, has had a heart attack, coronary artery bypass surgery, valve surgery, PTCA/stent or has stable angina. The program includes multi-function aerobic exercise, telemetry monitoring, blood pressure monitoring and risk factor education and modification.

Phase III - Continued Outpatient Exercise Therapy
The Phase III maintenance program is a self-pay program of continued long term health care and supervised exercise therapy.
