Expanded Cancer Resources for Manatee County

Blake Medical Center announces the completion of a new Cancer Resource Room. Located in the Blake Medical Arts Building in Suite 3400, the Cancer Resource Room offers exercise classes, lectures and support groups specifically designed for cancer patients. The room also provides a quiet place for patients and caregivers to read and reflect on the wealth of cancer information available there.

New Lecture Series for Cancer Patients

Blake Medical Center announces the start a free lecture series developed by the American Cancer Society called 'I Can Cope.' The series will begin this Thursday, October 15 at 11:00 a.m. in Blake’s new Cancer Resource Room, located in the Blake Medical Arts Building, Suite 3400. This first lecture, “Learning About Cancer” will be presented by Dr. Robert Whorf, a medical oncologist on staff at Blake Medical Center.
