Certification Awarded From the JC for Knee and Hip Replacements

The Joint Care Center at Blake Medical Center has earned the Gold Seal of Approval™ for health care quality. The Joint Commission awarded Blake Medical Center Disease-Specific Care Certification for Knee and Hip Replacement. Blake is one of only seven hospitals in the State of Florida to earn this distinction.

Stroke Program Achievements Celebrated During National Stroke Awareness Month

Five years ago yesterday, Blake Medical Center implemented a new process to speed emergent care for stroke patients, not unlike a “Code Blue” for heart attack patients, “Code 3” was born on May 3, 2005.
