Expanded Cancer Resources for Manatee County
Bradenton, FL – Blake Medical Center announces the completion of a new Cancer Resource Room. Located in the Blake Medical Arts Building in Suite 3400, the Cancer Resource Room offers exercise classes, lectures and support groups specifically designed for cancer patients. The room also provides a quiet place for patients and caregivers to read and reflect on the wealth of cancer information available there.
Some of the classes offered through the Wellness Community include an exercise class for breast cancer patients and a yoga class. A 13-class lecture series developed by the American Cancer Society, called “I Can Cope,” will also take place in the new room. Blake’s cancer program is Accredited with Commendation by the American College of Surgeon’s Commission on Cancer.
