Bradenton, FL – Blake Medical Center is proud to announce Risk Manager, Vicki D. Marsee, has earned the designation of Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM).  The CPHRM is a national credential that distinguishes an individual as being among an elite group of healthcare risk management professionals.

Mrs. Marsee is currently the Vice President of Quality and Risk Management at Blake Medical Center.  She is a Registered Nurse with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.  She is certified in compliance, ethics and nursing administration.  Marsee is a Fellow from the Advisory Board Company in Washington, DC and is licensed in Florida as a Healthcare Risk Manager. 

To earn the CPHRM, an individual must satisfy eligibility requirements that incorporate a blend of education and healthcare-specific professional experience, agree to adhere to the American Heart Association Professional Standards of Conduct, and pass the CPHRM Certification Examination.  The CPHRM Examination assesses knowledge required of a competent healthcare risk management professional in the areas of Clinical and Patient Safety; Risk Financing; Legal and Regulatory issues; Healthcare Operations; and Claims and Litigation.  The CPHRM Program supports the community of healthcare risk management professionals and is designed to provide an objective and rigorous assessment of mastery of a well-defined body of professional knowledge.  Additionally, CPHRM certificants demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development by maintaining currency of the certification through participation in professional development activities.
