BRADENTON, FL – Blake Medical Center is proud to announce the recipient of the 2012 Doctor of the Year award as Scott Kosfeld, M.D. Dr. Kosfeld has been an admired and respected member of the Blake Medical Center medical staff since 1993. Nominations were sent from patients, colleagues and hospital staff. They described Kosfeld as the epitome of an ideal doctor - caring, committed to his patients, dedicated to caring for the whole family and involved in his community.
Born in Wichita, Kansas, Dr. Kosfeld received his M.D. from Bowman Gray School of Medicine of Wakeforest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He then completed his Residency at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Kosfeld specializes in Family Medicine and joined the Medical Staff at Blake Medical Center in 1993.
